Partner Announcement – Rhys Munzel

Rhys is an exceptional lawyer who has played an important role in the firm’s success. With his commitment to building robust, value-focused relationships with FAL’s clients, its people, and the community, Rhys has helped guide the firm through a significant period of transformation.  

 Rhys joined FAL Lawyers in 2017 as a lawyer and patent attorney, and has been a senior associate since 2020. In that time, Rhys has been an integral part of the legal team. He advises on matters involving: technology commercialisation, IP ownership and infringement, IT procurement, and general contracts. 

Having spent more than a decade at IP Australia before joining FAL, Rhys has leading expertise in Intellectual Property Law. As FAL’s principal Intellectual Property attorney, he sets an extraordinary example.    

Rhys personifies FAL Lawyers’ values. He led the development of FAL IP – the firm’s dedicated Intellectual Property practice. Further highlighting Rhys’s commitment to innovation, he has also played an integral part in the development of Flying Start Up, a market-leading online legal service for technology start-ups.
